Hello, Friends. It's been a while since I was maintaining this personal page. How are your first weeks in 2018? Hopefully, they're awesome as you are.
In this time, I want to talk about how to be stress-free in a stressful moment of life. I could say that I'm quite often facing stressful moment on my daily basis. Whether it is in my personal family life, work environment, even in my relationship. All those stressful moments exist because our expectation does not meet the reality we are in. In the end, life is full of problems that we must conquer, and they will always be there to make us grow. I listed down below 9 things that I used to do for stress-free life.
1. Breathe. Be mindful of the present. Be grateful.
When a stressful moment comes without any invitation, I used to close my eyes and take a deep breath. A really deep breath. I keep talking to myself to be calm, to be cool, and to be grateful. It is what it is. It might sound naive to be grateful in bad condition. But for me, being grateful is such a relief, and the good news is it costs you free.
2. Start to think logically.
I was emotionally broke when I was beaten by a stressful condition. I was sad, crying, and other feminist stuff you could relate. I used to impulsively catch my people up to share what I'm going through. I release my burden, my anguish, and all my problems with them. And after all emotional stuff is done, I start my logical thoughts. I divide the problems and define what is the logical action to address my issues.
3. It’s okay to say NO.
Usually, hard times come up when we always try to please another. It's okay to say NO to others for your own good. We could be more focus on what's important, and not too much-giving attention to what's not.
4. Done is better than perfect.
Sometimes when we keep thinking about something to make it perfect instead of start doing it, we could end up with doing nothing. We tend to think how to do it rather than actually make it done. Frankly, the more we keep thinking, the more time is shrinking. As a gentle reminder to my self, mostly I assume done is better than perfect. Not to mention that done perfectly is way better.
5. Save time for self-care.
I appreciate myself more after passing through any bad condition. I take a long shower, watch a featured movie, do skincare treatment, and stuff. Or when I'm not in budget mode, I go shopping. I think I deserve that kind of things.
6. Use perfume.
This tip is a bit different from the others. For me, using any fragrance is making myself fresh so I can think more clearly. I bring mine everywhere I go and usually spray it on my hand.
7. Move your body.
Well, I could say that I do this thing only when nobody is around. You turn the music on and you just dance. Feel your move of your body and you will feel like all burden is released away. You should try.
8. Focus on what’s important.
If seeing things online or hearing things everyone says is really affecting you that much, then you need to look at the values in your life. If your emotions are constantly being pushed this way or that way, and you feel like you’re never in control, it’s probably because you’re valuing a lot of the wrong things. Just stay outta shits & don't give af.
9. Have fun & take life less seriously
My senior once said to me when it was her last day in the project, "Have some fun and just save your ass". I don't know whether you can relate this. But for me, it is such a simple messages that become a reminder for myself. Reminder t always be happy, and to be safe from all problems. The problems, we could not get rid it off. But the problem that we enjoy dealing with, we can choose it up.
Cheers,
